Finishing up a very busy year, I will have work in two shows in DC this month.

Studio Gallery Group Show

I was invited to be Studio Gallery’s featured emerging artist in their December show! I’m really bummed that I won’t make the opening (I’ll be on a plane), but I have asked a few of my friends to be there in my absence, so hopefully you’ll see some familiar faces there in my place. The opening reception is part of Dupont’s First Friday openings, which are always a lot of fun. I won’t be at the opening, but some of my friends will be there in my place, so look for a few familiar faces!

Group Show: Call and Response
The world calls to us, and as artists, we respond.
We have ways of creating, and each chooses the “way” according to our own sensitivities.
As an exercise in understanding, this group show by Studio Gallery artists has been arranged according to the way that we work and respond to the world.
The categories are: gesture, line, figure/ground relationships, the grid, organic and big forms, We welcome the public to view the variety and playfulness of 42 artists in this metropolitan area

ArtDC Patron’s Show

ArtDC presents it’s Patron’s Show from December 6, 2009 to January 4, 2010. The Artist’s Reception and Cool Yule Arty Party co-sponsored by DC Conspiracy is Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 1 pm - 7 pm. Several artists will be vending their artwork, too, so maybe you’ll find a few gifts while you’re there.
